Our manwaydoor ART 309 is a high-quality item, developed to be personalized according to each application. The manway can be bended based on the tank diameter, starting from 900 millimetres. After many years, we have brought some improvements which make it an extremely performing product.
The cover of ART 309 is obtained by the moulding with a press. This gives the cover a curved edge which is functional, because it guarantees the pressure sealing, but there’s the risk that some material could settle inside.
ART 309IG was born because we wanted to find a solution to this inconvenient. The new 309IG guarantees hygiene and cleanliness inside the tank. Its cover is realized by hand thanks to cutting, calendering and welding of the 
stainless-steel sheet, avoiding the curved edge which is typical of the moulding process (due to the shape of the press). So, the internal part of the cover that gets in contact with the material is perfectly smooth and mirror polished. Thanks to this new cover, residue of material cannot remain into the tank.
Moreover, as the cover is a stainless-steel sheet without edges and curves, it can also be bended more easily, so that the manway could be bended starting from 700 millimetres of diameter.
The fields of application of this model are several, mainly the food industry’s sectors which work with liquids and/or powder. This hygienic design is unique in the market and it helps the customer to solve problems of unwelcome deposit that occur often, and that can now be avoided with the right product.
